Margaret Christie

Margaret Christie

Margaret Christie studied music at the University of East Anglia. Now based in Edinburgh, she improvises on double bass and oboe/cor anglais with Edimpro and Noodle, as well as playing in orchestras and composing. She also plays traditional music and is the keyboard player in a ceilidh band, Garster's Dream. Having made a paper low B flat for her cor anglais, she then fell for a cor with a real B flat extension. Her piece More Geese has been called the funniest piece of music since Haydn's Joke quartet.
